#14 Hike the grand Canyon

On Oct 23rd I was able to see the Grand Canyon. It was really smokey but it was super pretty. I definitely want to go back to see the entire thing, but I was able to see the Northern Rim, which was awesome.

#20 watch the solar eclipse

On Aug 21, 2017 - I checked another task off the bucket list by watching the solar eclipse!

It was a lot of fun, I was doing my paramedic clinical and was able to watch the eclipse without being interrupted with a 911 call. 45 mins away was the best view for this part of the country. There was a lot of hype with the amount of travelers that were going to be in our area. They were expecting a crazy rush of people.. it was busy, but not as crazy as everyone had expected.

So we laid out on the lawn and listened to music... it was a fun afternoon.

#61 Do a bike ride

On June 17, 2017 - I completed my goal of doing a bike race. I did 50 miles with the Spinderella bike ride. It was a total blast. I went with a coworker Danielle. It was a positive experience and I'll probably do it again next year. Not quite sure if I will do the 50 mile again. If I do however, I will be putting in a lot more training!!

another one off the bucket list!

#60 Run a trail run

One of my goals was to do a trail run. I signed up for a 10k in Boise, called the Les Bois 10k, and completed it on March 4, 2017

Come to find out I really enjoyed it, and will definitely be doing more trail races in the future. Who knew I would enjoy running??

The morning of the race it was FREEZING! I really struggled with the wind during the swim, but regardless, I finished and I am super proud of myself!

Here are some photos from training and the race

Here is me attempting my first bike ride outside. Since I trained from Jan-Jun, most of my training was inside at a pool or a gym

Here is the lake (Jensen's Grove) a few days before the race, I was doing a practice swim

And myself, another bike ride before the race

Here is Race day, after my swim

Finishing the run

#54 Check

My #54 of do something spontaneous and out of character was checked off this last weekend. Out of the Blue my best friend Krissy texted me and told me that there was a "I Love Pink" campus party for victoria secret. Basically a big dance party. (Something I have never been too or done) and they were giving away a bunch of stuff so we decided to go.

With in the first 15 mins of dancing, we got pulled up on staged and we danced for probably 2 hours. Something that I would have never done with out the nudging of my BFF. So thanks Krissy for making me not feel like a loser and encouraged me to do something out of my comfort zone. Who knew it was A TOTAL BLAST :)
